Man who died following crash in Nairn identified

A man who died following a crash in Nairn on Thursday, January 21 has now been identified.

He was James Alexander, 91, from Nairn.

The incident happened around 4.50pm at the junction of Thurlow Road and Seafield Street.

Mr Alexander was a pedestrian at the time. The collision also involved two cars - a black Mazda and a red Honda.

He was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he died on Monday.

A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police can call 101, quoting incident 2265 of 21 January, 2021."
