Aviemore's run in the morning sun

Another great day today for Aviemore's ParkRun event.

The rally attracted no fewer than 146 enthusiastic runners, joggers and walkers to the ever popular course in glorious sunshine.

Scott Stirling from Falkirk took two seconds off the course record to finish in 14:55.

Judy Johnson, from Yorkshire, also recorded an age category best for female 70-74, of 26:09.

Over 100 participants were visitors, with at least 75 of them running here for the first time.

As ever, it was great to see several regular locals enjoying the sociable exercise that parkrun offers.

Thanks went to a great local team of volunteers who ensured there were no problems.
