New Highland timetable to "improve Stagecoach reliabiity"
Stagecoach have announced changes in their local service, with direct links to Inverness UHI from Badenoch and Strathspey introduced following customer feedback.
Minor timing revisions have been introduced to many services “to improve reliability”, a spokesperson said.
Alterations to bus services within the Highlands come into effect from Monday (March 11).
The company’s north of Scotland managing director, Steve Walker, said: “The changes are being introduced to reflect changing levels of use by regular passengers and are intended to help make it even easier to commute by bus.
“Many of the timetable revisions are minor re-timings to ensure the timetables reflect the running times of services during peak and off-peak travel times.”
He explained: “The company is always keen to hear feedback from our customers.
"Our overall aim is to provide a better, more efficient and more reliable package of services to our customers.
"We are delighted to be able to introduce the morning and evening connections to Inverness UHI from Badenoch and Strathspey and hope these connections make the commute to the campus by bus much easier for our customers.
“We continue to work closely with the local authorities to provide the best possible service to meet the requirements of the local communities in the Highlands.”
