Over 100 live acts featured in new season programme will perform at Eden Court for 'tens of thousands'

Eden Court's chief executive Rebecca Holt wants to welcome "tens of thousands" of people to the theatre to share over 100 events from across the world in the newly-launched October to March 2024 programme.

Big productions heading to Scotland’s largest multi-arts venue include top musicals such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Tuesday, September 10-Sunday, September 15 2024) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Tuesday, March 5-9)

There are also world classics such as ballet Swan Lake from Scottish Ballet (Friday, April 26-27 2024) and a "radically reimagined" version of Scottish 20th-century epic Sunset Song (Thursday, May 16-18 2024), as well as international dance companies Sao Paolo Dance Company (Tuesday, March 19 and 20) and Ailey 2, founded by famous dancer, director and choreographer Alvin Ailey who championed black artists (Friday, October 27 and 28).

And famous faces stopping by include favourite Poirot actor David Suchet (Wednesday, January 28) in Poirot and More, A Retrospective as the actor looks back at his roles. Strictly judge Anton du Beke (Monday, October 23 and Friday, July 5-6 with Giovanni Pernice), Professor Brian Cox (Tuesday, March 12 ) and one of the UK's busiest stand ups, A-lister Tom Allen (Thursday, June 6 2024).

A bumper comedy line-up includes names such as Jimeoin (Saturday, January 24), drag star Lawrence Chaney (Thursday, November 9), Tom Stade (Saturday, January 17), Mark Steel (Saturday, October 21), Kieran Hodgson (Thursday, March 28), and Scottish headliners Mark Nelson (Saturday, March 2), Jim Smith (Friday, November 24), plus – in People Huv Tae Know – the combined talents of Still Game stars Sanjeev Kohli, Jane McCarry and Gavin Mitchell (Wednesday, October 18).

Contemporary and traditional Scottish music in the theatre takes up where the summer's Under Canvas left off with Duncan Chisholm (Friday, November 3), Hannah Rarity (Sunday, October 1), Barbara Dickson (Tuesday, January 13), Eddi Reader (Friday, April 19), Gary Innes, Ewen Henderson & Ross Wilson (Thursday, January 15) – and Tide Lines (Sunday, November 5)!

Christmas will see panto legends Steven Wren and Ross Allan return for Sleeping Beauty (Wednesday, December 6-January 7), family show The Enormous Christmas Turnip (Wednesday, December 13-Saturday, December 23and Phil Cunningham's Christmas Songbook (Monday, December 18).
