Zero temperatures across Badenoch and Strathspey





Temperatures have plummeted on Badenoch and Strathspey roads, says today's Highland Council report.

The strath conditions were posted at 8.05, with negative readings throughout the area with a bit of snow on the roads.

"Primary and secondary routes being treated. No known overnight issues."

In the surrounding Inverness area, low-ground roads are wet, with an inch covering of wet snow on high roads. Gritters headed out first thing.

Across the Nairn boundary borderline temperatures were recorded throughout the area with wet roads.

Again, there were no know overnight issues.

No schools in the strath were reported closed by the weather conditions.
