Motorist to appear in court after collision with stationary police car on A9 by Newtonmore

A man is due to appear in court later this month after his car was involved in an accident with a stationary police car on the A9 by Newtonmore.

The 25-year-old man was arrested and charged after the incident on January 26.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A collision took place involving a car and a stationary police vehicle on the A9 between Dalwinnie and Newtonmore at around 10.15pm on Thursday (January 26).”

The man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on February 23.
