Motorcyclist injured in collision with a coach near Aviemore

A motorbiker suffered minor injuries in a collision with a coach outside a hotel by Aviemore at lunchtime earlier today.

The incident occurred on the B9152 Aviemore-Kincraig road – the old A9 – at the Rowan Tree Country Hotel.

The carriageway was blocked in both directions for a time at the location around two miles south of Aviemore.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police received a report of crash involving a motorcyclist and coach outside the Rowan Tree Country Hotel by Loch Alvie at around 12.40pm.

“The Scottish Ambulance Service attended to assess the motorcyclist who is believed to have minor injuries."

It is thought that the road is has re-opened but the Strathy is checking with police.
