More snow on way in Badenoch and Strathsey

This morning's Highland road conditions report warns of more white stuff during the day and tonight.

The Badenoch and Strathspey bulletin, issued at 7.13 confirms that with low temperatures prevailing there is snow across the network.

"All resources are deployed and all routes are being treated.

"More snow and low temperatures are forecast throughout the day and evening.

"Caution advised on all roads and footpaths across the area."

On neighbouring areas the story is pretty much the same, with all resources deployed and all routes are being treated on the Nairn routes.

The Inverness side is seeing a light covering of new snow overnight on roads: "Still old, hard-packed/frozen snow between wheel tracks on some roads.

"Gritters out treating all routes."

A number of schools or nurseries are closed today as a result of the bad weather.

A Met Office AMBER warning for snow across Highland remains in place today and a Yellow Warning for tomorrow.
