There is no shortage of interest in the idea of erecting a memorial of some kind to the infamous Wolf of Badenoch.
After the Strathy of March 21 reported the resurrection of the project conceived by the late Bobby Nield a survey was instigated in the Kingussie area and results were published this week.
The team behind the concept summarised the findings while thanking all those who had responded.
“Thank you from the Badenoch Community Project Committee to the 83 people who took the time to fill in the survey regarding the idea of a wolf sculpture at Talla nan Ros.
“Also thank you to everyone who sent an email about it.
“We will keep everything up to date with this progresses. In the meantime, here is a summary of the survey results.”

One of the committee members behind the project clarified the idea after some negative comments were made on social mediea.
“It seems many are objecting to the Wof of Badenoch being ‘commemorated’ and/or ‘celebrated’,” said Shirley Nield.
“The aim of the project aim, though, is to tell the story of the Wolf, bring people to the area with a bit of luck, tell them about other Wolf-related places to visit and to display a sculpture by an internationally-renowned artist, famous for her giraffes in Edinburgh.”
