Speed limiting to start in Glenmore

New speed limits will come into force on the C1126 Glenmore to Cairngorm Mountain Road in mid-December.

They will also affect the B970 Aviemore – Inverdruie – Coylumbridge - Nethybridge Road, a Highland Council spokesperson said this afternoon.

Following the conclusion of a consultation on a proposed speed limit scheme the process will now enter the construction phase.

Local contractors have been appointed for the installation works and they are due to begin operations this week.

The works will take approximately three weeks to complete and the proposed implementation date for the new speed limit orders is 15 December 2023.
