Man missing from Badenoch is found

Police Scotland have confirmed that Jason Macdonald (35) who was reported missing from the Newtonmore area has been traced safe and well.

"The public and media are thanked for their assistance," said a police spokesperson on Saturday night (July 4).

It was a few hours earlier in the day that Aviemore police appealed for the help of the public to trace Mr Macdonald, who had last been seen around 6pm in the village.

Jason was last seen around 6pm in the evening within the village.
