LATEST: Local roads report

Badenoch and Strathspey's roads are all being treated, Highland Council confirmed this morning as more snow fell.

The whole area is reported to have a light covering with ice present across the region.

More snow is expected, but no other problems were reported.

Towards the Highland capital frost was reported on roads this morning with light snow showers predicted for this afternoon.

Roads in the city and around Inverness are being treated by the team and no problems beyond a light covering of snow have been lodged.

The UK Met Office currently has a yellow warning for further snow and ice across the Highlands.
