Inquiries ongoing after two police officers hurt in A9 crash

Police Scotland are carrying out inquiries after two of its own motorcyclists were involved in a collision on the A9 in Inverness.
The incident happened on Friday as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon were travelling in the area.
Both politicians were in the north to announce that Cromarty Firth had been selected by the Scottish and UK governments as one of Scotland’s first Green Freeports.
The crash happened on the slip road to the north-bound carriageway of the A9 at Inshes.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two officers from the road policing unit were taken to hospital following a collision which happened on the A9 near Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, shortly before 9am on Friday, 13 January.
"They were later released and inquiries are ongoing into the crash."
Mr Sunak and Ms Sturgeon had what was described as a working dinner at a city centre hotel on Thursday evening, before making the announcement on Friday.
