Parking fees are going up for Inverness as Highland Council aims to balance its budget.
The local authority probably also has an eye on its climate emergency commitment as it tries to cut vehicle use in favour of active travel options.
It has now released the prices which will be charged from April 1 and here's the snapshot for Inverness:
Rose Street Car Park
(Monday-Sunday 24 hours)
- Up to 2 hours: £1.50 to £2 (50p rise)
- Up to 4 hours: £3 to £3 (no change)
- Up to 6 hours: £3.50 to £3.50 (no change)
- Up to 10 hours: £4 to £5 (£1 rise)
- Up to 12 hours: £5 to £5.50 (50p rise)
- Up to 18 hours: £6 to £8 (£2 rise)
- Up to 24 hours: £7 to £9 (£2 rise)
- Each day in excess of 24 hours: £6 to £8 (£2 rise)
Town House Car Park
(Monday-Friday 5pm-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm)
- Up to 1 hours: £1 to £2 (£1 rise)
- Up to 2 hours: £2 to £3 (£1 rise)
Crown Church Car Park
(Monday-Sunday 8am-6pm)
- Up to 1 hours: £1 to £2 (£1 rise)
- Up to 2 hours: £2 to £3 (£1 rise)
Raining's Stairs Car Park
