It was one last day of play for the horses and the staff at a Kingussie stables before the work begins again.

Highland Horse Fun took their four legged friends for a ride on Loch Morlich at Glenmore yesterday ahead of the business re-opening as Covid-19 lockdown restrictions ease.

Boss Ruaridh Ormiston said: "It was a day out for the ponies before they come of furlough to go back to work this Friday."

And he joked with reference to Prime Minister Boris Johnson's special advisor Dominic Cummings' now infamous trip to Barnard Castle: "We took them to Loch Morlich to test their eyesight."
