Badenoch schools hit by snow

Several schools in Badenoch were among those closed today (February 10) after serious snow storms swept across the region.

Others were hit by unrelated plumbing problems.

By this afternoon the official list published by Highland Council read:

Achiltibuie Primary: Closed (no water/heating/power)

Achiltibuie Primary Nursery: Closed (no water/heating/power)

Alvie Primary: Closed (bad weather)

Gergask Primary: Closed (bad weather)

Gergask Primary Nursery: Closed (bad weather)

Inverie Primary: Closed (bad weather)

Kingussie Primary: Closed (bad weather)

Kingussie Primary Nursery: Closed (bad weather)

Mallaig Primary: Closed (no water/heating/power).

More snow is being predicted for tonight.
