Health executive caught speeding at 115mph on the A9 by Aviemore

A highly-paid health industry executive drove at high speed on the A9 near Aviemore earlier this year.
But 51 year old Belgian company vice-president Michael Malecha of Corry Road, Muir of Ord was caught in a 5.30pm police speed trap on a dual carriageway section at Alvie on March 24.
Malecha was stopped a short distance thereafter with police recording him at travelling at speeds of up to 115mph in the 70mph zone.
Fiscal depute David Morton said: "Beyond the speed, there were no other aggravating factors."
Defence solicitor Graham Mann added: "Traffic was very light and the driving at speed was short lived.
"He drives between Muir of Ord and Edinburgh at least twice a week and he will drive more carefully in future. His licence is not essential for his job but he will have to rely on public transport if he is banned."
Sheriff Sara Matheson asked what Malecha's top line earnings were and was told £10,000 a month.
She also noted that he had three previous speeding convictions.
"A disqualification is appropriate here." the Sheriff said.
She fined Malecha £1,425 after he admitted driving carelessly and banned him from driving for six months.
