"Our colleagues there have asked that we send out a message on their behalf," the practice has posted.

The shop explains:

"Lloyds Pharmacy is experiencing operation difficulties this week as we change to an interim company Admenta who will manage all remaining stores until new owners have been finalised.

"We are unable to scan prescription barcodes so have to process manually which is more time consuming

"Deliveries are affected so cannot guarantee next day delivery of stock."

The pharmacy is not able to accept cash payment, only card payment, they said.

"We apologise for any inconvenience to customers but are working hard to manage the situation the best we can and ask everyone to bear with us through the next few days."
