A 26-year-old window fitter was aggrieved when police attended a disturbance at a Grantown caravan park and arrested him.

Robbie Burton of Karries Court, Denny admitted resisting arrest at the Loch Garten facility by struggling with police, and then head-butting and kicking a police vehicle on March 25, 2022.

Fiscal depute Karen Poke said: "Police went to speak to him at his camper van and he refused to give them his details. He was arrested and in the police vehicle he was struggling to get the handcuffs off."

Defence solicitor Rory Gowans told Inverness Sheriff Court: "There was an incident which attracted the attention of the police. He and others had been drinking and he felt he was the aggrieved party. His behaviour was a protest at being arrested."

Fining him £580, Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald told Burton: "This is the second time you have behaved like an idiot with police. You obviously have not learned your lesson."
