Government issue bank holiday guidance for schools ahead of Queen's funeral

Schools across Badenoch and Strathspey have been advised to close as a mark of respect following guidance issued by the Scottish Government regarding Monday's bank holiday for the state funeral of the Queen.

This advice also applies to other education settings that would normally be closed on a bank holiday. Most local authority-run early learning and childcare (ELC) services are expected to close.

Private and voluntary ELC providers and independent schools will be left to make their own decisions on bank holiday arrangements.

Most public transport services are currently expected to run as normal. Passengers should contact operators for information.
