Taking the trees and woodlands of the Strathspey capital and wider Cairngorms as the inspiration, The Forest features work from well-known names and a special workshop combining forest bathing and pottery.

The Spey Bank Studio opened last year in the former Bank of Scotland offices in The Square, showing art inspired by the Cairngorms.

Among the artists taking part is Campbell Bryson, who is best known for his paintings of light and shade through birch woods.

Esther Tyson, a wildlife artist, captures the life of birds in her paintings.

There are also works from Cairngorms photographer Graham Niven, who was recently commended in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2023. His photographs include granny pines standing tall and dizzying shots of beech trees reaching into the sky.

Painter Cathy Haworth depicts forests full of colour while Kyle Noble demonstrates real artistic intricacy in his psychedelic landscapes. Jess Greaves’ work finds ethereal portals in the forests and paintings by Ann Vastano celebrate the light and colour of the forest.

There will also be sculpture by studio owner Angus Grant and Aviemore-based craftsman Wooden Tom.

There will be a special forest bathing and pottery workshop on Friday (July 7) – now sold out – allowing participants to reconnect with nature and creativity.

Cath Wright, of Highland Quietlife leads forest bathing in Anagach Woods before studio owner Angus Grant teaches how to make a pinch pot inspired by nature.

Opening hours for July: Wednesday to Saturday 9am-5pm. More: speybankstudio.co.uk
