Funeral arrangements confirmed for Cairngorms ski great

The family of Cairngorms ski pioneer Ian Baxter have confirmed arrangements for his funeral.

Mr Baxter passed away aged 78 after a short illness in Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on Wednesday 3rd January with his family by his side.

His funeral service will take place at Inverness Crematorium on Friday 26th January at 1pm and all friends are respectfully invited.

Donations will be collected for the Aviemore Avalanche junior ice hockey team.

There will also be an opportunity for friends to pay their respects as the funeral procession travels from St Andrew's Church in Aviemore at 11.45am to Dalfaber Drive further north in the village before continuing onwards to the Highland capital.
