His Majesty’s Royal Marine Band Scotland will play on Wednesday, May 29 in the auditorium of the Macdonald Aviemore Resort.

And the performance will boost funds for a variety of significant causes, said Rotarian Stewart McNieish.

“ The concert will be in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke, Climb to Recovery, a service charity assisting our service personnel who have lost limbs in recent conflicts or are suffering from PDSD, as well as other worthy causes.”

The Royal Marine Band Scotland are currently based in Rosyth and are one of the five bands that make up the musical wing of the Royal Navy by boosting troop morale, supporting international diplomacy and paying tribute to their comrades.

It is many years since a full military band last performed in the Highlands.

“We would like to see as many people as possible come along and enjoy an evening of musical pageant with the Royal Marines and the Corps of Drums under Captain Ann Miller, the Bands Director of Music.

“Those who book their place for the big event will be able to enjoy a pre concert drink and mix and mingle with members of the band in the interval.

“To make the evening the overwhelming success it deserves to be, public support is essential.”

Tickets can be bought through Event Brite or by emailing gavin@rcsv.org

Alternatively, music-lovers can contact any Rotarian they know for more details about the show and how to make sure of their seat.
