Warning: 'widespread frost and ice' on Badenoch and Strathspey roads

Highland Council's road condition reports issued this morning at 8.24 warns of cold dry conditions in the strath.

"There's widespread frost and ice.

"We are treating all routes by priority."

In surrounding Nairn/Inverness areas the situation is the same.

"It's dry overhead but roads damp and road surface temperatures low.

"Caution is advised on any untreated surfaces this morning.

"Covering all routes and footpaths as per policy.

"There are no known issues."

Currently there are no Met Office warnings covering the Highlands.
