Coronavirus cases rise by nearly 50 per cent in Scotland; none yet detected in NHS Highland area

A FOURTH coronavirus case has been detected in Grampian after the number of positive tests in Scotland increased by almost 50 per cent.

The Scottish Government has confirmed that there have been another five cases identified in Scotland in the past 24 hours – taking the number of cases in the country to 16.

As well as four in Grampian, there are two apiece in the Forth Valley, Fife, Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Lanarkshire, and Lothian health board areas, and one apiece in Tayside and Ayrshire & Arran.

There have not yet been any cases detected in the NHS Highland area.

So far there have been 1680 Scottish tests carried out.
