Fire brigade called to Carrbridge cabin blaze

A fire at Carrbridge’s Macdonald Lochanhully Resort has been brought under control.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service despatched two appliances just after 8.30 this morning when the alarm went up.

A spokesperson for the service told the Strathy: “We sent appliances from Aviemore and Grantown after a report of a cabin going on fire were received.

“The fire is now extinguished and we are still in attendance damping down.

“There are no reports of any injuries.”

Police Scotland have been asked for any details of the blaze itself.

We hope to have reports later today.
