Big friendly turnout for today's Aviemore parkrun

Aviemore staged its 226th Parkrun this morning in fine conditions, welcoming its biggest attendance for a while.

In,167 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 73 were first timers.

There were 25 recorded new PBs, with 37 different clubs represented.

As ever, the event was made possible by a stury bunch of local volunteers:

Pete Wright, Neil Wright, Hilary Quick, Bill Dewitt, Diano Grimson, Dawn Cranston, William Ivory, Katherine Ivory, Sue Oxley and Victoria Rampton.

The first Aviemore parkrun took place on May 6, 2017. Since then 6,698 participants have completed 15,584 parkruns covering a total distance of 77,920 km.
