Family from Skye celebrates birth of daughter on Christmas Day; Amelia Nichola Mairi Wilson was born at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness at 10.10am to parents from Portree

ONE Highland family has an added reason to celebrate this festive season – after their baby was born on Christmas Day.

Amelia Nichola Mairi Wilson was born at 10.10am today.

The wee tot, who weighed in at 7lbs (or 3185 grams), is the daughter of Brace and Alistair Wilson from Portree on Skye.

She was born at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

Brace said: "We are thrilled everything has gone well. We are delighted with our little girl."
