The team regularly uses other Royal Air Force bases during training - its usual home is RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

But shortly after 3.30pm this afternoon they will head south over the strath and all observers are being advised to keep their heads up and their cameras out!

Officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows showcase the excellence of the RAF and represent the United Kingdom both at home and overseas. The team consists of 11 pilots, nine of whom fly in the display, and more than 100 support personnel.
