House fire in Kingussie – emergency services in attendance

Three fire teams were sent to a house fire in Kingussie tonight.

An ambulance was also on the scene earlier this evening but there are no reports so far of any casualties

Firefighters from Kingussie, Aviemore and Grantown were alerted when the alarm went up at a family home in Dunbarry Terrace.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "There was a fire in one of the rooms and it was brought under control.

"The appliance from Grantown has left the area now but we are maintaining a presence to ensure there are no other issues meanwhile."
