Drink-driver admits crashing into stationary police vehicle on A9 by Newtonmore

A man has admitted crashing into a parked police vehicle on the A9 while more than three times the drink-drive limit.
Shafeer Rishad (25) failed to stop despite being flagged down by a police officer before the smash.
The collision resulted in the police car's wheel coming off and narrowly missing another uniformed colleague.
The accident happened on the A9 near Newtonmore on January 26, earlier this year, according to court papers.
Rishad, from Cumlodden Drive, Glasgow, admitted a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and dangerous driving when he appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court.
He was found to have 78 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 22 micrograms.
The dangerous driving charge states that he failed to slow for a police constable causing them to take evasive action before hitting the parked police vehicle causing one of the wheels to come off which 'narrowly' missed another officer.
Sheriff David Harvie deferred sentence on Rishad, a first offender, for the preparation of background reports.
He was ordained to appear in court again on March 23 and was disqualified from driving in the interim.
