Eastgate Shopping Centre faces double blow as two stores announce closures

Two stores in Inverness's Eastgate Shopping Centre are set to close.

Phase Eight and Yours clothing shops have put up signs signalling that they are both set to shut.

It is another blow for the shopping centre despite a £2million investment in a revamped food hall.

The area, known as Loch and Larder, was due to open before Christmas but that has since been pushed back to the new year.

Yours is a plus size women's fashion retailer.

The last day of trading will be on December 24 according to posters put up in the store windows.

It will continue to trade online.

It is not known when Phase Eight will close.

Both companies have been asked for comment.
