Police are continuing to ask the media and the public for help to trace a missing Glasgow man as they become increasingly concerned for his well-being.

Jackson Alexander Kennedy Reid, (42), of Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow, has been missing since June 26.

The last known sighting of him was in Aviemore on Saturday (July 4).

Jackson is described as six feet tall, white, with short dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark grey hooded fleece top and dark grey bottoms. He was also carrying a grey backpack with black panels and is believed to be in possession of camping equipment.

Constable David Kyle said: "As time goes on we are becoming more and more concerned about Jackson and would ask him to get in touch with someone as soon as possible to let them know he is safe.

"He was last seen up in the Aviemore area at the weekend and I would appeal to people up there to look out for him and report any sightings to the police.

"However there is no guarantee that Jackson is still in Aviemore and he may have travelled elsewhere as he is very resourceful and a keen outdoorsman. I would ask any members of the public that see someone matching his description to get in touch.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101."
