Crown Estate Scotland has revealed dates for two community drop-in sessions to contribute their ideas for the future development of the Glenlivet Estate.

The public consultations, which are open to everyone and need no prior booking, form part of the Glenlivet Estate 2050 project, which aims to explore how the 23,000 hectare estate might evolve over the next 30 years to support local priorities.

The insights and suggestions gathered will assist Crown Estate Scotland in creating a long-term plan for the famous estate.

The project will also help deliver priorities identified in the new Cairngorms National Park Partnership Plan.

The two public events are as follows:

• 8 September, noon–6pm, Richmond Memorial Hall, The Square, Tomintoul.

• 27 September, noon– 6pm, Glenlivet Public Hall, Bridgend of Glenlivet, Ballindalloch.

In addition, a digital exhibition for those unable to attend in-person will be available from 5 September until 5 October, and will be accessible using this link: https://glenlivetestate2050.exhibition.app/

The events will be supplemented by a range of individual conversations and workshops which are being held next month with a range of local businesses, special interest groups and national bodies.

Oster Milambo, Crown Estate Scotland’s director of property, said: “We want to understand what the people who live and work here are looking for over the coming years, so we can create a plan which reflects what they care about most.

“Crown Estate Scotland is committed to creating great places and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be involved in developing plans and shaping the future for their area.

“In the last year, we’ve led projects like this on our rural estates, all with the aim of planning for the future in a way that puts the priorities of local people first.”
