Carrbridge's public conveniences have re-opened after the latest repair.

But the community is hoping that villagers will be especially vigilant and report any suspicion of vandalism there to the police.

The toilets were closed a fortnight ago after the latest vandal attack left it without lighting after the fixture in the gents was smashed and fused all the other connections.

A spokesperson for the authority said at the time: "Unfortunately due to ongoing vandalism, the council has had to close the Carrbridge public toilets with immediate effect.

“The council is extremely disappointed with the way in which this and other facilities across the region continue to be treated.

“As has occurred at other sites where ongoing vandalism is an recurring issue, the council has had to instruct an immediate closure.

“These facilities will not be reopened until the daily threat of vandalism is reduced. This latest incident has been reported to the police."

Repeated attacks have caused the closure of Kingussie's Ardvonie facilities.
