Car overturns on the A86 between Newtonmore and Kingussie with the road closed in both directions

Police were called to the A86 this morning following reports of a car on its roof.

The alarm was raised around 8.55am and the incident was between Newtonmore and Kingussie.

Traffic Scotland reported, via Twitter at 9.12am, that the road was closed in both directions and police were on the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 8.55am on Wednesday, January 20, officers were called to the A86 east of Newtonmore, following a report of a car on its roof.

"The road was closed until 10am for recovery and there were no reported serious injuries.”
