Cairngorms walking tall: two routes in top 20

The Cairngorms features on two counts in the latest Top 20 chart of walks in the UK.

The list, compiled by the outdoor experts at GO Outdoors, includes walks from an array of UK areas.

The team have provided the route and details such as the grade, terrain and distance of each hike so that walkers can find the perfect one for their ability.

The list also includes the favourites of North Ridge and Peter Storm Ambassadors such as Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones.

Rated among the top are Ben Macdui and Cairngorm – moderate open, mountain route at 17.84km – and the Cateran Trail, also a moderate, open route at 24.45km.

The full list, which includes treks in the Lake District, Peak District, Snowdonia, the New Forest, Yorkshire Dales and Loch Lomond & Trossachs, can be examined here
