A paraglider broke a leg in a crash on a hill in the Cairngorms.

Taking advantage of soaring temperatures. the man came down on Meall A' Buichaille, a 2,657.5ft hill above Loch Morlich near Aviemore, at 12.30pm on Thursday (May25).

Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team were alerted and a coastguard helicopter went to his aid.

The paraglider was airlifted from above Glenmore Lodge to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. His condition is unknown.
