Aviemore Scouts enjoyed a guided tour, skills workshop and mock incident drill at the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue base recently.

A party of 20 and their Leaders were shown around by rescue team member John Lowther.

They learnt about the team members – all volunteers – and some of their rescues.

After a “real-life” call came in the Scouts joined the team on a rescue and helped to recover an injured casualty.

"It was a fantastic evening," said the Scouts' Pete Wright. "The CMRT were so kind with their time."
