Motorists are being warned about the closure of a busy link road in Aviemore at the end of this month.

Resurfacing works will be carried out from the junction with Grampian Road to Myrtlefield car park on Sunday March 28 and Monday March 29.

A Highland Council spokesperson said: "The road will close from midday on the Sunday and re open as soon as the removal of the existing surface is completed. Access will only be given to emergency access vehicles and Stagecoach buses.

"The road will be open to vehicles on Monday until 6pm when it will close to allow the contactor to place the new road surface and will re-open when this has been completed."

The improvement works had been scheduled for last year but was hit by the delay due to Covid due to the tar plants being closed.
