Paid-for brown bin collections will continue across Badenoch and Strathspey for just over another month.

Councillor Alan Henderson, chairman of Highland Council’s communities and place committee, said: “Usually our garden waste collections stop for the winter at the end of October but this year the crews will be collecting brown bins right through until the end of November.

“The service will then stop for the months of December, January and February before resuming in March 2021.

“The response from householders for the service has once again been very encouraging.

"Brown bin collections are a convenient and easy way for householders to manage their garden waste, it is also a great way of diverting waste away from costly landfill.”

The final collection day this year before the winter break will be on Monday, November 30.
