"We had a great morning and the weather stayed dry!" reports run director Alethea McHardy after this morning's excellent event.

It was the 215th outing and attracted another great turnout including many sturdy New Year resolution makers.

A feature of today's run was a showing of the celebrated Bookrun Relay – a passing-on of the book which praises the event for getting people through the lockdown years – which has been travelling the UK over the last year.

Alethea handed on the book to Deborah Cope, who was visiting from South Devon and will be taking it to the far south in its great run.

In all, 54 people ran, jogged and walked the course today, of whom 19 were first timers and five new personal bests were recorded.

Representatives of nine different clubs took part and the event was made possible by as many volunteers: Malcolm Hinsley, Martin Wares, Alethea McHardy, Hilary Quick, Bill Dewitt, Dawn Cranston, Lynsey Whyte, Sue Oxley and Paul Davison.

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Aviemore parkrun Results Page.
