Family of man (26) posted missing in the Highlands told of discovery of body

The family of a 26-year-old man posted missing in the Highlands have been informed of the discovery of a body.

The body of a man was found on Ben Nevis today at around 3.30pm, police said.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of missing Zekun Zhang has been made aware.

Police said in a brief statement: "There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."

He was last seen on Tuesday near the summit of Carn Mor Dearg.

Inspector Ross McCartney said : “I would like to thank all mountain rescue teams that assisted with the search."
