Short-listing a piece of cake for Kincraig's Old Post Office Cafe

Badenoch is in the running for a podium place in this year’s Scottish Cafe Awards.

“Coffee lovers, the time has come!” declared Toni Vastano at the Old Post Office Cafe Gallery he runs in Kincraig with his family, as the finalists were announced this week.

The Scottish Cafe Awards will be taking place next month – on February 18 and the ceremony is set to include “a double shot of glamour and elegance.”

Toni and his team are among the best and will vie with outlets from around the North:

Rohaan Cafe Bar, Dyce; Boogie Woogie, Keith; Siam Cottage, Aberdeen; Nooks & Crannies, Fraserburgh; On a Roll, Burntisland; The Villa Coffee Shop, Stonehaven; The Highlanders Bakehouse, Crathie; The Chocolate Bar, Ellon; Harbour Café, Fraserburgh; Café Canna, Isle of Canna.

A spokesperson for the awards said: “We want to congratulate the fabulous finalists for making it this far. In a nation full of coffee lovers these finalists have gone above and beyond for their customers, offering a versatile space for people to both work and socialise.

“They all deserve a spot in the final.”
