Today's post from Team Hill Billy, as they make their way to the Old Post Office Cafe Gallery in Kincraig, is that the 287-mile marathon is going according to plan.

The four men are trekking back from Campbeltown to raise funds for more defibrillators in the village.

"A huge thank you especially to Fiona Coats and family," posted Toni Vastano.

"They generously let the team stay in their beautiful accommodation in Kilberry and, what’s more, provided a hearty meal.

"Huge thanks too to our family – Kirsty, Douglas, Genevieve and Ossian in Kilmartin – who also provided support and sustenance along route.

"At this rate we'll never want to come home!"

The west coast was providing outstanding beauty but challenging terrain and weather, the team report.

"However we are all are in good spirits and delighted with the generous support and donations."

Anyone wanting to donate to the cause can do so via the justgiving page.

"Every little helps as they say," said Toni. "Bottom line - defibrillators work."

And he should know, having been brought back from the brink in September after suffering a heart incident while on holiday in the west.
