The brilliant community transport provider project claimed the Community Transport Provider of the Year award at Thursday's Community Transport Association (CTA) event held in England.

The award recognises the hard work of everyone who supports the charity and highlights the project's ability to scale impact, streamline services for broader reach and lead by example in efficiency and best practices for the sector.

Since 1999, the organisation has grown into one of the most successful Community Transport Schemes in Scotland, receiving major UK recognition as CTA Provider of the year in 2021.

With the assistance of volunteer drivers and telephonists, the team have created community transport which is safe, accessible, cost-effective and flexible.

The scheme is run by the community, for the community and meets the individual needs of people isolated by inadequate transport.

A spokesperson for the team said: "We're delighted at this year's win!"
