As was the weather for the occasion on Sunday. The sun shone on the kids who made the most of the Dalfaber facilities.

“Special thanks to Michael Hall, the general manager and all the staff for facilitating our party and donating some really exciting prizes!” added Kathryn.

“And special thanks to Shari Duffy too, who stepped up and got on the mic - she’s a star!

“And last but certainly not least we have to thank all our wonderful volunteers who always step up when needed.

“Their dedication to this project is incredible especially as we all have young families.”

Project volunteers and Lynn McGillivray, the Highland Council play strategist, presented two design options to Aviemore Primary School pupils last month. They were given a detailed overview of what play equipment was on offer

Pupils were able to view the designs closely while chatting to Lynn if they had any questions.

Each child was then given a token and were asked to vote for their favourite design.

Simultaneously, Kingussie High School pupils were emailed a google survey and shown the designs and were given opportunity to vote.
