Aviemore’s Jamie R Rodgers Funeral Directors “The Perfect Goodbye” has revealed it took one of the top honours at the recent Scottish Funeral Awards.

The company was voted Best Funeral Directors in the North at the gala final in the Glasgow Marriott Hotel at the end of October.

But the accolade went unrecognised locally since Jamie and his colleagues couldn’t attend – because they were too busy working!

“We were unable to attend the awards due to a funeral commitment the following day, but a friend of ours attended and collected the award on our behalf,” said Mr Rogers as he proudly showed off the beautiful trophy.

“I am so proud of our team and want to say a big thank you from me, for their unwavering support and hard work.

“We strive to be the best we can be for the families who need us, and it’s nice to get recognition nationally amongst our peers. Congratulations to the other award winners on the night.”

The awards were created by Paramount Creative, a spokesperson aid, to offer an independent platform for all businesses working within the funeral industry: “Our aim is to offer recognition to hard working business owners who go the extra mile to ensure their customers are offered a fair and exceptional service during the most difficult time of their lives.”
