Roads teams are out across the strath's primary and secondary routes in readiness for whatever is thrown next at the transport network.

This morning's roads condition report, issues at 8.30, referred to marginal conditions:

"We're checking all routes and treating them as required.

"It's cold in the north area with some icy patches.

"Conditions are milder ion the south, with damp roads.

"All treatments are ongoing."

On neighbouring roads, both in Inverness and Nairn areas, roads are wet but with no problems being reported: "Positive air temperatures, cold but rising, with no precipitation and good salt levels, so no action required this morning and no known issues."
