An air display will be taking place above RAF Lossiemouth tomorrow (Saturday).

Lossie Fest – the air base's annual friends and families day – is taking place on the same day.

The event is private and fully booked out.

However, the display, taking place from 1pm-3pm, will be viewable from outside the perimeter.

A spokesperson from RAF Lossiemouth said: "People planning to travel to Lossiemouth to see the air displays will be able to get a good view from public land north of the airfield.

"There will be road closures and waiting restrictions in place throughout the day and people should plan their route, and parking, accordingly.

"People are advised to park in Lossiemouth and walk to where they can view the air displays.

"There will be no parking facilities around the station."

The following restrictions will be in place:

No waiting on the Lossie-Hopeman Road between 10am and 5pm.

Several roads around the base will also be closed between 12.30pm-3pm, including parts of Covesea Road.
